There has been loads of buzz around the international debut of the Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel this summer. So much so, that we’ve decided to build a website to help introduce it to the world! Today, we’ve been hard at work, writing the text for our soon-to-launch website. Even though it’s not quite ready I thought I’d publish it early, complete with a photo off the new site – a sneak peak of what’s to come!
The photo has come from a slide show that has been put together, depicting the location, hotel, and experience that you can look forward to. Our part was to describe the location, hotel, and experience. Easy, right? Yes… but also no. You see, head office is Vancouver, Canada, and the hotel itself is, as you know, in England. However, after a lot of Google Map searching and visits to the Newcastle Gateshead Initiative site (the main tourism page for the region), details about the area’s key attractions as well as their proximity to our hotel emerged. After a couple of email conversations with the General Manager and our Interior Design department, we’ve been able to put together a genuine description of the design and detail of the hotel, keeping with the Sandman Signature tone and style.
“The Sandman Signature Hotel Newcastle is a fabulous, modern, boutique-style hotel. Featuring 175 rooms, you’re welcome to choose from an impressive variety of room types, including a host of fully furnished, self-catering, luxurious Suites. Located in the former head offices of the world-renowned Scottish & Newcastle Brewery, this property has been extensively refurbished to meet the highest possible standards. Unique details such as bunk beds in Family Suites, the inclusion of King-size beds in every hotel room and Suite, and Wheelchair Accessible Rooms featuring low kitchen appliances, low spy holes, and accessible toilets demonstrate the distinct efficiencies in each of the thoughtfully designed rooms.
While staying at our state-of-the art property, you’ll find yourself steps from the city’s key attractions. St. James Park, Grey Street, the Theatre Royal, China Town, Eldon Square, and Castle Keep are all just minutes away; metro and rail stations are all within walking distance; Universities of Northumbria and Newcastle, the Baltic Centre of Art, Metro Radio Arena, as well as a host of other cultural attractions are yours to discover. Amenities include two on-site conference rooms, high-speed internet access, complimentary coffee and tea, and 24hr room service. Looking for a bite to eat and somewhere to relax? Head to the lobby level, and check out the Shark Club, our on-site pub; a Canadian institution when it comes to great food and even better service.
This summer, the Sandman Hotel Group will be in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The question is: Will you?”
