Before and After: Sandman Inn at Blue River!

Been to Blue River lately? Located half way between Edmonton and Vancouver, the picturesque town of Blue River has become a destination for many seeking outdoor adventure travel in the North Thompson.  We have a property there, an Inn located along Highway 5 – one of the first in the Sandman Hotel Group. It opened in 1970, and catered to the logging companies and mills that peppered the Yellowhead Highway. Nowadays, tourism is the main draw to the town, bringing extreme skiers in the winter and fishing enthusiasts throughout the summer months. Sounds like the perfect conditions when running a hotel, no? And they are! Forty-one years later, and we’re still going strong.

To celebrate the forty-odd years of hospitality in the region, we decided to re-vamp the lobby décor and in-room furnishings. In the last few months, we’ve turned that property on its head! New renos have been completed – see for yourself!

And we’re not the only ones talking about it! Last month, a TripAdvisor member stayed at Blue River, and wrote about it!

Blue River isn’t the only property getting spruced up! Next time you call Central Reservations to book your stay, ask one of our agents  if your destination is one of the them!
